How long does a photo shoot take?

The duration of a photo session is flexible; on average, a session lasts about 1 to 2 hours. I always consider your dog's needs and how long they prefer to be there.

Your four-legged friend's well-being is my top priority! During the session, I'll pay close attention to your dog's cues and adjust the pace and setting accordingly. Some dogs find a photoshoot a bit nerve-wracking, while others feel instantly at ease—either is perfectly fine.

Peace and tranquility are key, so your dog feels as relaxed as possible and we can create genuine, natural images.

How old does my dog have to be for a photo shoot?

Your dog's health is always my top priority. That's why we schedule a photoshoot as soon as your puppy has had all their vaccinations. This way, you can both enjoy the session safely and carefree.

Can I have my picture taken with my dog?

Having your photo taken with your four-legged friend is a wonderful way to capture your special bond. Your dog isn't just a pet; it's a full-fledged member of your family, always full of love and loyalty. A photoshoot like this captures your bond and creates lasting memories of the precious moments together.

Should my dog know commands?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Basic obedience training generally helps broaden the range of photos taken during the shoot, but it's not required!

Yong Lei tailors all her sessions to the individual needs of each dog, so if your pet is nervous or reactive, let her know and she will ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable.

Is it a problem that my dog can't run free?

Safety is paramount at Yong Lei. If your dog can't be off-leash or with other dogs, that's no problem!
I have a dog show leash in my pocket. Or you can bring a thin leash from home if you have one.

If you would like to have the collar, leash or harness in the photos, that is no problem either.

Question 7

What if the weather is bad on the day of the photoshoot?

The photoshoot always takes place outdoors, and weather plays a significant role. That's why we immediately schedule two dates when booking: one main date and one backup. This way, we have an alternative if the weather doesn't cooperate.

I keep a close eye on the weather forecast beforehand. If it's necessary to reschedule your appointment due to inclement weather or excessive heat, I'll contact you at least one day in advance. Of course, rescheduling your session is completely free of charge in that case.

Can I bring someone with me?

An extra pair of hands is always welcome and helpful during a shoot. I recommend bringing no more than one person to maintain a calm atmosphere.

How long does it take to receive my photos?

The exact delivery time always depends on how busy we are, the package you choose, and the number of photos selected. Immediately after the photoshoot, I begin editing the preview photo and compiling the selection gallery. In the selection gallery, you can select your favorite photos for final editing.

Once you've submitted your choices, I'll get started on the professional post-production. Once you've selected your favorites, I'll always give you an estimated delivery time, so you'll know exactly when you'll have your beautiful memories in your hands.

How do you work with publications and promotions?

Yong Lei is a DIGIFOTO Pro ambassador and will use the photos taken during a reportage for articles and other purposes. In addition, the photos will be used for business purposes, photo contests, and commercial purposes, such as portfolios, social media, personal use, printed materials, and other purposes.

If you'd prefer not to have this done, please indicate this clearly when booking your photoshoot.

There's sometimes some confusion about professional photography prices. It might seem like it's just about taking a few photos. If only it were as simple as pressing a button! In reality, it's much more than that.

You're investing not just in the photos themselves, but in my time, attention, and experience. In the patience during the shoot, the attention to detail, and the care with which each image is edited. All with one goal: to create images that truly mean something and that you can cherish forever.
